National Discourse 2019 Edition

National Discourse is a non-partisan public engagement to discuss National Issues that will promote good governance with the overall best interest of all Nigerians.

The Fourth Edition of the National Discourse was held at the University of Lagos, J.F. Ade-Ajayi Main Auditorium Hall with Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola (immediate past Governor of State of Osun) as the Chairman of the Occasion, Vice President of Federal Republic of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo(SAN, GCON) as Keynote Speaker, Guest Speaker was Prof. Fola Lasisi President Nigerian Academy of Engineers (Pioneer VC for University of Uyo), Discussants for the day are Otunba Femi Oke Charman, All Farmers Association of Nigeria, (Lagos State Chapter ) and Prof. Lateef Sanni (Professor of Food Science and Technology) Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Development) FUNNAB.

The anchorman for the event was a known ace broadcaster, Sulaiman Alele, assisted by Jamal Shittu, the Opening remark was done Dr. Khalid Adekoya, Mrs. Elizabeth Adebunmi Adekanye Permanent Secretary Home Affairs represented His Excellency, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Executive Governor of Lagos State, also in attendance was Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Engr. Salako Noimot Oyedele who represented His Excellency, Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun.

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), Prof. Oluwatoyin Ogundipe was also in attendance.

Fourth National Discourse 2019 The Theme is Food Security: Unleashing Nigeria’s Potential for Self Sufficiency, which was held on the 14th of June 2019 at the University of Lagos Main Auditorium (11th of Dhul Qaeda 1440 A.H.) at 10 a.m.
