National Discourse Since Its First Inception
National Discourse is a non-partisan public engagement session for Nigerians to discuss common issues that will promote statehood of the nation and in the best interest of the general citizens in the country. The Companion sponsors this public forum.

National Discourse in 2015 theme was GENERAL ELECTION: SETTING AGENDA FOR NEW GOVERNMENT, HELD ON JUNE 14TH, 2015
National Discourse in 2016 theme was ENERGY FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT: WHAT STRATEGIC OPTION FOR NIGERIA?, key speakers were led by Dr. Lanre Babalola (Former Minister of Power) among issues raised, problem analysed and solution proffered. To solve current energy challenges in Nigeria and emphasis on decentralisation of power generation to the benefit of the large population of the country via a partnership among FG/State Government/Private organisations(PPP).
National Discourse in 2019 is the fourth edition, the theme is Food security: Unleashing Nigeria’s Natural Potential for Self-Sufficiency.
Vice President Prof Yemi Osinbajo will lead other dignitaries to this year’event from immediate past Governor of Osun State Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola and a renowned expert in Agricultural-Engineering and former University of Uyo Vice-Chancellor Prof Fola Lasisi, Deputy VC- FUNNAB Prof Lateef Sanni of Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Mr Otunba Femi Oke, the Coordinator, All Farmers Association of Nigeria, among others, to the 4th National Discourse , scheduled to hold on Sunday, 14th of July, 2019 at the University of Lagos Main Auditorium now named J.F. Ade-Ajayi Auditorium.
